11:00 GMT: 1 (read, ONE) BH signs on, joins TanisFleet channel, and tries to organize. Gets bombarded by questions.

11:17 GMT: 2nd BH finally signs on. CCP Tanis gets in too a few minutes later. After a bit of Q&A and discussion, Tanis calls for fleets to form. All hell breaks loose. (Never seen so many X's in my life.)

11:30 GMT: (approx. this time) Fleet formed. My fleet all warp to Planet 1 to make battle prep. Few minutes later we fleet-warp to battle grounds. Lag becomes immediately apparent.

11:45 GMT: Battle well underway, a few ships already flaming wrecks in space. Some idiots set off smartbombs after BH/Devs explicitly told them not to. Game runs at

11:57 GMT: Battle nearing end. the 12GMT downtime approaches. Lag clears slightly, dozens of ships gone, guns starting to cycle semi-normally.

11:59:59 GMT All players booted. Cluster shutdown.

14:00 GMT I remember that I need to put html page-break tags to make "next line".


Conclusion: I was right in sticking with small gang PVP all my life.
